I love the Elusive Target system of Hitman. For a game that has mastered the art of repetition, it’s a system that takes everything that you’ve learnt about the map and the secrets within, and tasks you with exploiting them to a bloody conclusion. One shot, one kill is my mantra for these missions, which I just can’t get enough as I work my way towards not buggering any of them up.

The next Elusive Target is Dylan Narvaez aka ‘The Twin’. He’ll be popping up in Sapienza on July 15 for the usual 72 hours, but there’s an added wrinkle to the contract this time. As you’d imagine, he actually does have a twin brother who is conveniently also visiting the sunny shores of Sapienza for the weekend. If you happen to put a bullet in him, the mission will be scrapped the contract called off. Yikes.

Which is going to make this even more challenging, when you factor in the usual Elusive Target twists such as your mark not showing up on your mini-map or when you activate Instinct. IO Interactive is calling this Elusive Target their toughest one yet, and advise that players use “supreme care and come up with a plan to eliminate him without any collateral damage whatsoever to Gonzales”.

Remember that Elusive Target Contracts make changes to the existing locations and use advanced AI behaviour to create a more believable and challenging experience for players, who cannot rely on what they already know from the location or on any routines from the characters in the sandbox locations. Elusive Targets were designed to be difficult and ‘The Twin’ is the toughest one yet!

Plan ahead, exercise caution and don’t take down the target until you’re absolutely sure you’ve got the right one. Good luck!

Judging by the teaser image, I’m going to hazard a guess that Narvaez will be walking through the cobbled streets of Sapienza. That doesn’t leave much room for sniping him, although there are plenty of distractions present. It’s a target who you’ll most likely have to shadow, to pick up on any conversations that allow you to figure out which brother is which. Now I wonder if I can make use of that explosive golf ball in my safehouse…
